Highlights
Tell us about your services.
I provide various editing services throughout the process, from beta reading to copyediting to development edits.
What is your background and how is it helpful?
BA in English Literature with a minor in creative writing. My degree has helped me with the technicalities, but the real experiences comes from reading, writing, and editing.
What is your approach to selecting writers to work with?
I mostly just advertise within my circle of writer friends and those in my writers groups. From there, it's word of mouth.
Describe how your organization would work with a writer.
Depending on the plan they chose, I tend to do two read-throughs while communicating along the way. We'll have a meeting in-between to discuss potential fixes and my thoughts, and then I'll make any discussed changes on the second read-through. I always give a personal one-on-one experience.
What is your advice for a writer or author looking to work with you?
Editing services can often be the most costly part of the process, but it's well worth it to have a clean and polished manuscript. I try to keep my prices as low as possible because I know us authors are not rich! If you're interested in working with me, I'm happy to discuss any questions or concerns you may have before jumping in.
How would someone get in touch with you or find more information?
I can be reached via email at sarahbetareader@gmail.com or through my Ko-Fi ko-fi.com/sarahmcknightwrites
